Sunday was also the Balboa Island Parade. My daughter's is in the school band and I was obviously super proud watching her perform. The Parade was quiet well put together with superb performances.

About a year ago today I was planning to go to Kenya. My mom had passed away earlier in the year. I was of course hurt, confused and a pain that you can't explain to anyone else...I loved everything about my trip and visited the national parks, did a safari for about four days and it was peaceful, blissful to be home. Watching the Giraffe, elephants brought back my childhood memories growing up in Kenya. I realized how lucky I was to grow up in Kenya. Here are a few pictures from my trip...
