Safari! Big Five Spotting!

Following my recent visit to Kenya I decided to engrave a set of glasses of the Big Five in Kenya. Originally used only by hunters, the term 'Big Five' refers to five of Africa's greatest wild animals - Lion, King of Beasts..was on my list to see and it was great to spot quite a number  Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino. 

I am always amazed at how beautiful elephants are...we took a three day Safari with my friend to Masaai Mara..one word to describe my safari Amazing! The wildebeest migration one of the seven wonders of the world did not disappoint either! I definitely will be retuning home soon with my family.. 

I don't have pictures of the complete set up but put up all my pictures soon!

Mirror, Mirror on the wall! Who's the tallest of us all?!

The last few weeks started working on a flat piece circular mirror...had not done so in a long time! I must say that I was really pleased with the outcome..special care and attention was given to every detail in this piece and the picture does not do it justice! It's engraved in reverse and is ready to hang!

Monkey Business!

Couple months ago a long time client, private collector asked me to do a series of monkeys on two bowls...since the bowls were rather small it was quite challenging trying to fit the monkeys into the space and still have negative space to create a perfect design element. I did want from the beginning one falling/jumping off a tree and that's where I started my draft from....
